FAQs for the Northwestern University Program in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Hormone Actionsponsored by NIH/NIDDK 5T32 DK007169The Endocrinology Training grant has slots for 2 Graduate Students and 3 Postdoctoral (MD or PhD) Fellows.- Funding is available for 3 years to Graduate Students and 2 years to Postdoctoral Fellows.
- Award recipients must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.
- Trainees must be working in one of the designated mentors' laboratories.
- Additional slots are available for members of underrepresented groups.
- Salary based on the current NIH/NRSA guidelines. Mentors may supplement from non-sponsored funds.
- A travel allowance to attend one national meeting annually.
- A modest supply budget.
- Tuition for graduate students and in some cases postdoctoral fellows.
Program mentors are notified at least 60 days prior to availability of open slots. PREDOCTORAL candidates- CV

Applications should be submitted electronically in pdf format to the program coordinator, Melissa Mizwa by ad-admin@northwestern.edu the given deadline. An evaluation committee makes the recommendations for applicants. The formal appointment is made by the PI upon approval by the NIH/NIDDK Program Officer.
