NUPEDHA Trainee ExpectationsTo ensure trainee productivity, the Committee has established the following expectations outlined below.
Continued support will be based upon the trainee fulfilling these training grant expectations. Graduate Students- At least one (1) abstract accepted for presentation at a scientific meeting by the end of the first year of training support.
- At least one (1) first-author original scientific publications by the end of the second year of training grant support.
- At least (2) original scientific publications by the end of the third year of support.
Post-doctoral Trainees- At least one (1) abstract accepted for presentation at a scientific meeting by the end of the first year of support.
- At least two (2) original scientific publications, including one first-author report, submitted for publication by the end of 18 months of support.
- Two (2) original scientific publications in press, at least one of which is a first-author report, by the end of the second year of suppor
All Trainees- Regular attendance at weekly Seminars in Endocrinology and monthly NUPEDHA data club meetings.
- Attendance at a national reserach conference as appropriate for trainee's area of study
- Participation in career development activities
- Training in responsible conduct of research [Note: courses offered as part of the IGP curriculum and by NUCATS satify this requirement.]
- Attendance and presentation at the NUPEDHA Annual Research Symposium
