NUPEDHA Trainee Expectations

To ensure trainee productivity, the Committee has established the following expectations outlined below. 

Continued support will be based upon the trainee fulfilling these training grant expectations.

  Graduate Students

• At least one (1) abstract accepted for presentation at a scientific meeting by the end of the first year of training support.
• At least one (1) first-author original scientific publications by the end of the second year of training grant support.
• At least (2) original scientific publications by the end of the third year of support.

  Post-doctoral Trainees

• At least one (1) abstract accepted for presentation at a scientific meeting by the end of the first year of support.
• At least two (2) original scientific publications, including one first-author report, submitted for publication by the end of 18 months of support.
• Two (2) original scientific publications in press, at least one of which is a first-author report, by the end of the second year of suppor

  All Trainees

• Regular attendance at weekly Seminars in Endocrinology and monthly NUPEDHA data club meetings.
• Attendance at a national reserach conference as appropriate for trainee's area of study
• Participation in career development activities
• Training in responsible conduct of research [Note: courses offered  as part of the IGP curriculum and by NUCATS satify this requirement.]
• Attendance and presentation at the NUPEDHA Annual Research Symposium
