Research Training Opportunities to Promote Diversity

The Northwestern University Program in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Hormone Action (NUPEDHA) has a longstanding interest in promoting diversity in the scientific research workforce.  We are actively seeking to increase the number of trainees from select groups who are underrepresented in biomedical research, including

• Racial/Ethnic Minorities (African Americans, American Indians and Alaska Natives, Hispanic/Latino Americans, and U.S. Pacific Islanders)
• Individuals with disabilities (defined as those with a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities) 

Programs are available to provide financial assistance, mentoring and accomodations for individuals from underrepresented groups for advanced training in biomedical research.
